Our travels across Tanzania

Kitanda

(above) We went to visit a Masai tribe snake farm, and couldn’t help but notice the camels. We begged for a ride and the man in the skirt was happy to comply.

(above)Picture of Jeff Bragg with us, we traveled to Moshi to spend the day at Emmanuel Center and meet up with Jeff, from Faith Evangelical Free Church in Waterville. It was a treat to see Jeff in Africa. Emmanuel Center houses 18 boys; we are heading back to help them with some projects this week.

(above) It was wonderful to spend time at Lohada again. Fourty children live at the orphanage (camp Moses) and 40 more attend school there daily. Mama Wambura, the orphanage’s director, welcomed us to play with the children anytime we want! We brought a beanie baby for each child. The children formed several lines and sang a lovely song in Swahili, then said a prayer- we passed the toys out to the joy of the children!

Something that was put on my heart while I was thinking about you guys is just simply "outpour love"
This is something so foreign everywhere, but what everyone needs. There is only one source to love from. That's plain and simply Jesus. Praying for ya

ha! Nates reeeall cute, couldnt keep a gerbil sane (>insert pic of crazy gerbil< 'i seen it'). You guys are lookin good, esp. Eddy. Eddy, I mean real good. haha kenny--camel jockey. "William"'s losin it, the rig stuff--killed me. Emmanuel Center huh? HHhmnnn...looks like were in the same line of work (as if that was ever in question). It all seems very wonderful, esp. the mountain quietness time, the presencing of the present, the Being of being, those little flashes of illumination and unconcealment, seems no better place to embrace alterity, the wholly Other, than in Africa on Kilimanjaro w/ such wondrous peeps (the pun works, ha). Bring the lightning back. love u guys
